Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November 1966. She is a model as well as an Irish actor. After making her debut in a feature film by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to play an archaeologist who is sympathetic to Nazis, Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan donnevan starred featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1998) as well as Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was a model when she was approached. The outcome proved to be a lucrative career. Doody was extremely strict about not doing glamorous or sexually explicit work. The same rule continued into Doody's acting work. Once she caught the attention of the casting director for an upcoming James Bond movie, she was cast in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias In his dream in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. The first time she played the lead in a 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she starred alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having acted along with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood, Doody became famous. The decision was made to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody played a role in The 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony for an award. The year 2004, she appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. In 2011, she was scheduled to be the main character in The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014 she starred in We Still Kill the Old Way.
